How it works

Which and how many data feeds do you require? UK power and gas prices are quoted in both Over The Counter (OTC i.e. Spectron) and Exchange (i.e. The ICE) markets. The more price feeds you have the better the chance that the live price you request will in fact be the lowest quoted live price. Differences between brokers prices can be significant, particularly in times of low liquidity, so savings from taking a reduced number of data feeds are usually false with the annual costs often recovered in a single trade.

The ICE

Data feed costs vary depending on your requirements but in general all data feeds are priced at under £300 pcm per commodity (i.e. UK Gas or TTF Gas, not both). Costs fall as the number of data feeds rises.
